by Iqtidar Ali | @IqtidarAliiTesla Model 3 morphing into a Tesla Model Y for visual comparison. The most popular stories of the past week on CleanTechnica were led by a visual comparison of the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y, followed by Paul Fosse’s early review of one-pedal driving in a Tesla Model 3 (following a recent software update many of us still haven’t gotten). My second piece on non-Tesla electric vehicle models that might one day reach 10,000 sales a month was in third, and an answer to the never-ending question of whether Teslas work in snow was right behind it. For the rest of the top 20, and to actually see the headlines and click through to fun articles you missed, scroll down below

Polestar Pricing … Electric Mazda … Tesla Model 3 = #6 In USA — CleanTechnica Top 20

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Tue, 05 Nov 2019 01:40:45 +0000

The most popular CleanTechnica stories of October were led by Polestar and Mazda. Seriously. No offense to Polestar or Mazda (okay, some offense to Polestar and Mazda), but I wouldn’t have seen that coming a mile away. Does this show a great thirst for more EV news beyond Tesla and more serious EV entries? Possibly. Or it was just some lucky timing and catchy headlines. Or all of the above. In any case, that’s where things landed in October. Tesla still dominated the top 20, with 15 out of 20 stories, but it was an interesting phenomenon to see the company almost pushed out of the top

Electric Mazda … Porsche vs. Tesla Launchonanza … Gold-Free Perovskite Solar — CleanTechnica Top 20

Mazda MX-30 electric SUVMazda? Mazda? A possibly lame-ass electrification effort from Mazda? Yes, apparently, that was somehow our most popular article of the week last week here on CleanTechnica. Will more than 100,000 people consider — let alone buy — the electric Mazda? I doubt it! But they’ll read about it. (Granted, Tina’s headline must have been part of the appeal, and I did think from the headline the car was going to be edible in some way.)

Aluminum-Air Battery … Chevy Bolt & Hyundai Kona vs. Tesla Model 3 Sales … The Mistake Of Buying A Tesla Competitor — CleanTechnica Top 20

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Mon, 28 Oct 2019 05:04:56 +0000

The most popular CleanTechnica stories of the past week were led by a (somewhat wild) claim of an aluminum-air battery breakthrough. Yup, really. After that, it was almost all Tesla — Tesla Model 3 sales compared to other top EV sales, buying a gas “luxury car” competitor to a Tesla, Tesla disruption in Norway, Elon Musk and Tesla proving naysayers wrong, a Tesla fire, Tesla software updates

Tesla Model Y Production … Fusion Energy … Tesla Model 3 Range After 50,000 Miles — #CleanTechnica Top 20

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Mon, 21 Oct 2019 04:15:51 +0000

The top 20 CleanTechnica stories of the week were led by a Tesla Model Y production plan an insider leaked to us, which is both super exciting and something to be cautious about. The second most popular piece was a story about Tesla Model 3 range after 50,000 miles of driving. The black swan story of the week that climbed its way into the top 3 was on the topic of fusion energy. (Proceed with caution if you plan to read about that news item.) For the rest of the top 20, skim down below and click the ones that tickle your interest.

Polestar Pricing … Tesla Model 3 = #6 Car In USA … Capital One On “Tesla Effect” — #CleanTechnica Top 20

Polestar 2Polestar’s entry into the electric vehicle world took the top spot this past week on CleanTechnica, being the number one article viewed on CleanTechnica thanks to the hundreds of thousands of views it pulled in. The focus of the article was its pricing, which is surprisingly high. Yet again, it seems that a new “Tesla killer” just doesn’t compete with Tesla vehicles, even though it is a nice addition to the EV market and deserves solid sales

Perplexing Accord & Camry Buyers … 7 Year Old Tesla Model S Battery Degradation … Old Nissan LEAF vs. New Tesla Model 3 — Top 20 CleanTechnica Stories in September

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Wed, 09 Oct 2019 02:00:21 +0000

The most popular CleanTechnica article of September did not have “Tesla” in the title, but if you read the piece, you can see the story is closely tied to the Tesla Model 3. The shock I just couldn’t stop shaking was about how many people continue to buy new Toyota Camrys and Honda Accords. Compared to the Model 3, I get it — even if they have the same 5 year cost of ownership (possible), they have a lower upfront price. That said, if $100–200 a month is a dealbreaker for someone looking at these options, my opinion is that they definitely shouldn’t be buying a new car at all. But hey, that’s just my opinion

McDonald’s EV Charging … Tesla Model 3 vs. Toyota Camry vs. Chevy Bolt Cost of Ownership — #CleanTechnica Top 20

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Mon, 07 Oct 2019 01:56:22 +0000

The most popular stories on CleanTechnica this past week were led by a McDonald’s story for the first time (or perhaps second — I remember a very popular McDonald’s story here in 2010). The second and third most popular stories were both about total cost of ownership comparisons — between the Tesla Model 3 and Toyota Camry and then the Chevy Bolt and Tesla Model 3 and Toyota Camry. Next in line were videos of Tesla Smart Summon (which went a bit viral on what the kids call “the Internet”) and a couple of pieces on how early concerns about the Model 3 and Gigafactory 3 became irrelevant

Confusing Honda Accord & Toyota Camry Purchases … Tesla Model 3 vs. Mercedes C-Class — #CleanTechnica Top 20

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Mon, 30 Sep 2019 03:23:26 +0000

It’s time for another roundup of the 20 most popular stories of the week. As proof of the fact that you don’t even need “Tesla” in the headline to have a Tesla story go viral, the top story of the week was about the Honda Accord & Toyota Camry while silently being about the Tesla Model 3. The second most popular story compared the Model 3 to two top sellers on the other end of its gradient of competitors, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi
