This is your guide to part 2 of the Elon Musk interview done by Third Row Tesla. There isn’t really any need to read about or watch part 1 before part 2, but if you want to, here is the link to my article on part 1 of the interview. I think they both stand on their own, so you can read, listen to, and/or watch them in either order

Tesla Autopilot Mystery Solved — HW3 Full Potential Soon To Be Unlocked

Credit to Author: Chanan Bos| Date: Fri, 31 Jan 2020 06:12:38 +0000

In June 2019 after Tesla’s Autonomy Investor Day, we did a deep dive into Tesla’s HW3 chip that explored the various capabilities and potential of the HW3 processor system on a chip (SoC). I may have geeked out a little and made that a bit too technical, so I will try not to repeat that mistake in this article. Long story short, HW3 is a total beast. It is very different from the NVIDIA chip Tesla was using in the previous generation

Tesla Learns To Dance To Elon Time

After the Tesla earnings call, I was thinking, what has really changed? Sometimes the questions are more important than the answers. Consider what we learn from examining the following questions that most investors had 2 years ago as the Model 3 production ramp began

I Think People Are Misunderstanding Why Tesla [TSLA] Is Valued So Highly

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Fri, 24 Jan 2020 03:38:24 +0000

I love looking at auto sales charts — and creating them — and we do so somewhat obsessively as it concerns electric vehicles and Tesla. From a static point of view today, looking at Tesla’s global sales versus the global sales of Audi, BMW, or Mercedes-Benz (let along Volkswagen Group or Toyota) and then looking at Tesla’s [TSLA] market cap compared to those companies can leave you scratching your head

Waiting For Tesla Full Self Driving, These Are My Top Questions & Thoughts (As A User)

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Wed, 22 Jan 2020 12:10:48 +0000

I’ll admit it — I’m super eager for the first edition of Tesla “Full Self Driving” to roll out. Before critics start freaking out, I should make clear that I don’t expect to nap, work, or watch movies while using initial iterations of Full Self Driving. I currently use Autopilot a ton, and I’m well aware that it is handling most of the driving just fine while I’m essentially a simple passenger, but I do keep my hands on the wheel and constantly scan the road like a pretend driver fully focused on acting out the role in search of an Oscar (or at least a Teen Choice Award)

Tesla & Robotaxi Economics: The Network That Optimizes The Machine

Credit to Author: Rahul Sonnad| Date: Thu, 09 Jan 2020 06:34:20 +0000

There is a long-standing argument about whether Tesla is a car company or a tech company. This argument is typically made in the context of how Wall Street should value the company. If Tesla is just a new kind of carmaker, it should be valued at something significantly less than its annual revenue — maybe 25% to 50%, like Ford and GM. Alternatively, if Tesla is a tech company, then it could be valued significantly higher. Google, for example, is trading at about 6 times its revenues today, Facebook at 8, Microsoft at 9, and Salesforce at 10 times. Tesla trades at around 3 times its revenues with some profits, while Uber and Lyft trade around 4 times revenues and have never been profitable

No, Tesla Is NOT The Largest US Automaker Ever

Credit to Author: Frugal Moogal| Date: Wed, 08 Jan 2020 20:14:43 +0000

Over the last couple of days, as Tesla continues on this monstrous run, the media seems to have been noting that Tesla is now more valuable than any US automaker’s market cap ever. (Tesla is currently almost exactly the market cap of Ford and GM combined, around $88 billion.) Even though I would now plant myself firmly in the “bull” camp, this is completely untrue, and I think it paints a problematic picture of Tesla

2020 Tesla Predictions

Credit to Author: Guest Contributor| Date: Fri, 03 Jan 2020 04:53:12 +0000

Starting from this year onwards, I will place my predictions for the next 12 months in article form. Most of these predictions are based on historical facts or behavioural economics, and I would be happy if I am 50% correct by end of next year. My purpose for doing this is to mainly get a much broader critique to my predictions in the comments section, so please leave a comment whether you agree or not
