Arriving in Canada in 2001, Rachna Singh went from serving as a counsellor for victims of domestic violence to advocating for workers’ rights at the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) to eventually running for political office and winning the seat for the riding of Surrey-Green Timbers, B.C.
