$79–$178 EV Lease … Tesla Cybertruck’s Enormous Implications … Potential $108/kWh Tesla Battery Pack — CleanTechnica Top 20

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Tue, 03 Dec 2019 04:20:52 +0000

A whopping 14 top 20 articles last week were about the Tesla Cybertruck! I think that’s a new record for a single product. Nonetheless, quite humorously, the #1 article was about low leases for the Hyundai Ioniq Electric rather than anything about the Cybertruck. The #2 article is an epic article about why the Cybertruck is much more than it seems on the surface, and the #3 piece delves into implications regarding the low battery price Tesla seems to be showing with the Cybertruck pricing and specs

Polestar Pricing … Electric Mazda … Tesla Model 3 = #6 In USA — CleanTechnica Top 20

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Tue, 05 Nov 2019 01:40:45 +0000

The most popular CleanTechnica stories of October were led by Polestar and Mazda. Seriously. No offense to Polestar or Mazda (okay, some offense to Polestar and Mazda), but I wouldn’t have seen that coming a mile away. Does this show a great thirst for more EV news beyond Tesla and more serious EV entries? Possibly. Or it was just some lucky timing and catchy headlines. Or all of the above. In any case, that’s where things landed in October. Tesla still dominated the top 20, with 15 out of 20 stories, but it was an interesting phenomenon to see the company almost pushed out of the top

Aluminum-Air Battery … Chevy Bolt & Hyundai Kona vs. Tesla Model 3 Sales … The Mistake Of Buying A Tesla Competitor — CleanTechnica Top 20

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Mon, 28 Oct 2019 05:04:56 +0000

The most popular CleanTechnica stories of the past week were led by a (somewhat wild) claim of an aluminum-air battery breakthrough. Yup, really. After that, it was almost all Tesla — Tesla Model 3 sales compared to other top EV sales, buying a gas “luxury car” competitor to a Tesla, Tesla disruption in Norway, Elon Musk and Tesla proving naysayers wrong, a Tesla fire, Tesla software updates

Polestar Pricing … Tesla Model 3 = #6 Car In USA … Capital One On “Tesla Effect” — #CleanTechnica Top 20

Polestar 2Polestar’s entry into the electric vehicle world took the top spot this past week on CleanTechnica, being the number one article viewed on CleanTechnica thanks to the hundreds of thousands of views it pulled in. The focus of the article was its pricing, which is surprisingly high. Yet again, it seems that a new “Tesla killer” just doesn’t compete with Tesla vehicles, even though it is a nice addition to the EV market and deserves solid sales

Perplexing Accord & Camry Buyers … 7 Year Old Tesla Model S Battery Degradation … Old Nissan LEAF vs. New Tesla Model 3 — Top 20 CleanTechnica Stories in September

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Wed, 09 Oct 2019 02:00:21 +0000

The most popular CleanTechnica article of September did not have “Tesla” in the title, but if you read the piece, you can see the story is closely tied to the Tesla Model 3. The shock I just couldn’t stop shaking was about how many people continue to buy new Toyota Camrys and Honda Accords. Compared to the Model 3, I get it — even if they have the same 5 year cost of ownership (possible), they have a lower upfront price. That said, if $100–200 a month is a dealbreaker for someone looking at these options, my opinion is that they definitely shouldn’t be buying a new car at all. But hey, that’s just my opinion

Tesla Model 3 vs. Toyota Camry Cost of Ownership … Range Lost On Parked Model 3 … Tesla Service FTW — #CleanTechnica Top 20

Credit to Author: Zachary Shahan| Date: Sat, 24 Aug 2019 23:30:45 +0000

The most popular CleanTechnica articles of the past week were led by (yet another) total cost of ownership analysis comparing the Tesla Model 3 and Toyota Camry. A couple of us here at CleanTechnica had previously published our own 5 year cost of ownership comparisons between these cars, but this one came from Loup Ventures, “a research-driven venture capital firm based in Minneapolis and New York investing in frontier technology.” Other popular stories covered Model 3 range lost while parked, a Tesla service experience, and much more regarding Tesla. Non-Tesla stories included the sprouting EV revolution, a solar-powered Chevy Bolt, Burger King’s Impossible Whopper, clean energy at 1¢/kWh, VW’s EV potential, and much more
