Tribal leader makes peace with gov’t after 2 decades of resistance
A tribal leader who had waged war with the government for two decades in the hinterlands of Davao del Norte and Bukidnon surfaced on Saturday and vowed to work with authorities, virtually ending one of the fiercest resistance by indigenous peoples (IPs) in defense of their ancestral lands in Southern Mindanao, a military spokesperson said on Sunday.
