CSC: Bar, board exam passers eligible for civil service positions


MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) clarified on Monday that individuals who passed the Bar and licensure examinations are automatically eligible for civil service positions. In a statement, the CSC explained that under the amended Republic Act (RA) No. 1080, “the Bar examinations and the various examinations conducted by government boards are regarded as civil service examinations.” According to the CSC, eligibility is essential for appointments to government positions that require the practice of a profession, such as doctors, engineers, and lawyers. DOH activates emergency response in Aurora due to Nika


The Department of Health (DOH) Central Luzon activated emergency response efforts in the province of Aurora on Monday, Nov. 11, to protect public health as Typhoon Nika (international name: Toraji) intensified. Through its provincial office in Aurora, the DOH Center for Health Development (CLCHD) is closely monitoring evacuation efforts, with health assessments provided to evacuees to address urgent medical needs.
