MA-BEAUTY PO NAMAN: How can cucumber relax our eyes?
What is the best sexual position to bring forth a male child?
What is it in avocado that keeps the skin aglow?
These and many other questions flood DZMM Radyo Patrol 630’s trunk lines as the station’s two wellness queens go on air.
We are referring to Cory Quirino’s “Ma-Beauty Po Naman,” celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2019, and Dr. Lulu Marquez’s “Private Nights,” now on its 11th year.
DZMM’s “wellness queens” shared their journey from being private advocates to being “broadcasters on a mission” in a gathering with media recently.

WELLNESS AWARENESS: Cory said she became health-conscious at an early age.
“My passion for health and wellness is instinctive.
My parents broke the rules. They drank, smoked, didn’t exercise. Wellness wasn’t known then,” she said.
“All it takes to achieve beauty and wellness is a healthy body and a positive heart and mind.’’

HEALTHY TALK ON SEX: Dr. Lulu, an anesthesiologist, says she likes putting people at ease, asleep. She found her purpose while giving inspirational talks about sex and intimacy.
“I can talk about sex in an acceptable manner. As a doctor, I explain it in terms of science, based on anatomy, physiology, and chemistry.”
Dr. Lulu was invited as a sex education expert in “Private Nights” in 2010. She became its main anchor in 2013.
She says sex education in the Philippines still has a long way to go.
“Sex is still taboo in our society. There are many parents who are not educated about sex, and their children are also not educated about sex.’’
Catch Dr. Lulu Marquez and Ms. Cory Quirino on DZMM Radyo and TeleRadyo every Sunday. “Private Nights” airs from 3 am to 4 am, while “Ma-Beauty Po Naman” airs from 9 am to 10 am.
