Marikina’s Teodoro seeks reelection
Marikina City Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro on Wednesday filed his certificate of candidacy (CoC), seeking a second term as local chief executive.
Teodoro’s running-mate, former vice mayor Marion Andres, also filed his CoC on Wednesday.
Teodoro was city councilor from 1992 to 2001. He also served as congressman of Marikina’s first district from 2007 to 2016.
Two years after he was elected, Teodoro provided free tuition to students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina, built more classrooms, health centers, multi-purpose halls, bridges, roads, parks, and a new building for the Marikina City Police.
He also renovated the Marikina City Hall, Marikina Sports Center, Teatro Marikina, Kapitan Moy, and Shoe Museum.
