Sara Duterte’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago to sign pact with Jalosjos’ party

DAPITAN CITY— More than 600 cops and an equal number of force multipliers have been deployed to this city  to ensure that the launch of the alliance of Hugpong Ng Pagbabago (HNP) and the Aggrupation Parties for Prosperity (APP) will be safe and successful.

Police Superintendent Jonathan Yabo, the city police director of Dapitan said that although there is no impending threat, they have created a task force for the visit of some congressional representatives and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Duterte is leading the HNP while Zamboanga del Norte 1st District Representative Seth Frederick Jalosjos will represent the APP at the launch of the newly formed alliance on Tuesday here.

Representatives Imee Marcos, Zajid Mangudadatu, and Pia Cayetano, as well as Undersecretary Ronald dela Rosa are among the guests expected at the the formal launch of the alliance.

Yabo said that apart from the local police force, troops from the Philippine Army, and personnel from the Philippine Coast Guards and the City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office will be manning Dapitan’s major thoroughfares from August 27 to August 28. /ee
