Duterte to Sison on ‘coma’ report: ‘May you live to a thousand years’
DAVAO CITY – President Rodrigo Duterte disspelled rumors that he was in a “coma” and appeared in a video with his top aide with a wish to one of the harbingers of this “fake news” — may he live up to a “thousand years.”
The video that was posted on Facebook on August 20 by Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go showed Duterte, a lady guest and himself having dinner.
In the live video, the President hit former Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) chairman Jose Maria Sison for spreading the “comatose” report.
“Joma, ang wish ko sa buhay, maski wala ka nang silbi sa mundong ito, ay mabuhay ka pa nang 1,000 years. Para ikot ng ikot ka na lang dito sa mundo,” Duterte said.
The President said that Sison was a reincarnation of a biblical guy who was cursed to walk around the earth.
Duterte said he was “alive and fairly healthy and having dinner with a beautiful lady from Davao.”
He added: “Okey pa naman ako.”
Duterte also told Sison: “Ikaw yong comatose, ikaw yong may sakit. Alam mo ang totoo lang nag-complain na rin ang Netherlands kasi labas pasok ka sa ospital hindi ka man daw nagbabayad.”
He also urged Sison to come home to finally settle in a place called “Bilibid”, the national penitentiary in the country.
Earlier on Monday, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte dispelled the “coma” rumors, saying that the President had “pansit” for lunch.
