3 children, 2 others killed in Tondo fire

FIVE individuals, including three children, were killed in a fire that struck a residential building in Tondo, Manila on Tuesday.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Manila said the victims were trapped on the fourth floor of the residential building on Carlos P. Garcia corner Sampaloc Street. The victims have yet to be named but the children were aged eight to 14 years old.

The BFP said the fire, which began at 1:47 p.m., reached the third alarm and was declared under control at 3:04 p.m. KIM MALAIT
