Police arrest brothers wanted for uncle’s murder
Two brothers said to be members of the New People’s Army (NPA) were arrested in Quezon City on Sunday for reportedly killing their uncle.
Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel Jr., Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, said that Dennis Noval, 22, and Marvin Noval, 20, were arrested based on warrants issued by Judge Girlie Borrel-Yu of the Ormoc City Regional Trial Court Branch 35.
The brothers are from Leyte province.
Esquivel described the brothers as members of the NPA “Abe” squad, subcommittee “Levox,” based in the province.
In January, the two reportedly killed their uncle whom they suspected of being a government informant.
The brothers later left Ormoc City and went into hiding in Novaliches.
Dennis was arrested at the Novaliches public market, while his brother was apprehended at Barangay Santa Monica.
