5 policemen in kidnap-for-ransom fall, another killed in Taguig
A suspect was killed while five other members of a kidnap-for-ransom group were arrested during an operation of the Southern Police District (SPD) on Tuesday morning. All six are active police officers, authorities said.
According to initial reports from the SPD, the still unidentified suspects engaged the authorities, resulting to an encounter at a construction site in FTI, Taguig City.
The SPD said that District Director Chief Supt. Tomas Apolinario and National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar are on the scene with investigators. /cbb
