Police foil hijacking try on truck in Tarlac
CAMP MACABULOS, Tarlac City: Authorities foiled an attempt to hijack an 18-wheeler truck in Tarlac early Tuesday.
Senior Supt. Ritchie Medardo Posadas, Tarlac police provincial director, said police received a tip from an unidentified caller that a hijack was ongoing along Victoria-Lapaz road in barangay (village) Lomboy, Lapaz.
At least four suspects, identified as Efren Agawa, Gino Gutierrez, Gregy Lou Gutierrez, and Ariel Sambillo, were arrested following a chase.
Recovered from the suspects were one cal. 45 pistol federal, one hand grenade, two sachets of “shabu,” two sachets of marijuana, and a get-away vehicle. JERRY M. HERNANDEZ
