Robredo: Gov’t projects should not be politicized

NAGA CITY – Vice President Leni Robredo on Friday expressed dismay over some politicians politicizing the distribution of government projects and equipment.

“Don’t sacrifice public service just because of politics like refusal to accept the equipment. Mayor wouldn’t want to accept the equipment because it came from a different party. Those things slow down the start of operations,” Robredo told local newsmen here.

“In projects like these, don’t go after politics because the election is still next year,” she said.

Robredo also said she herself is not after recognition, preferring not to put her name in any project.

“If we are really genuine to serve the people, let us not mix in politics because it affects all others,” she added.
