Rep. Mark Cojuangco announces bid for Pangasinan governor

ROSALES, Pangasinan –Former three-termer 5th district Rep. Mark O. Cojuangco confirmed to his political supporters in the province that he would be filling his candidacy for governor anew and was willing to face anybody, including the incumbent governor, his political opponent in the last 2016 elections.

Cojuangco, who is now consulting with his political supporters, told The Manila Times that his plan was being backed up by his family, led by his father former Ambassador Eduardo Danding Cojuangco, chairman of San Miguel Corporation.

“My plan is final, I have available funds, so I am urging my political supporters to work with me to finalize the list of my candidates for councilor, vice mayor and mayor in 44 towns and in three cities of San Carlos, Urdaneta and Alaminos” Cojuangco told newsmen.

He also confirmed that the name of his runningmate for vice governor would be announced soon once they have formalized their agreement.

Possible contenders are outgoing 2nd district Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil, outgoing 6th district Rep. Marlyn Primicias Agabas, and outgoing Board Member Generoso “Jun” Tulagan, Jr. of the 3rd district. JAIME AQUINO
