Cloudy and rainy on Sunday — Pagasa
Most of the country will be cloudy with rain on Sunday due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) and the trough of a low pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau said.
Palawan, Mindoro, Zambales, Bataan and the Western Visayan Region will be wet due to the monsoon, according to the 4 a.m. bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Marinduque, Romblon and the Eastern Visayan Region, Pagasa said, noting the effects of the southwest monsoon and the LPA.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.
Pagasa advised the public to stay alert and watch out for possible flooding and landslides due to light to moderate to, at times, heavy rain.
As of 3 a.m. Sunday, Pagasa tracked the LPA at 1,030 Â kilometers east of Basco, Batanes
Moderate to rough waves are expected in the northern and western sections of Luzon, while waves would be slight to moderate around the rest of the country. /cbb
