AirTrav launches chartered flights to Clark, Puerto Galera
AIRTRAV Corp. has launched chartered flight services from Manila to Clark and Puerto Galera, which would take 30 minutes and 40 minutes, respectively.
Pilot Jacob Cusi, son of Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, heads AirTrav Corp.
Cusi said AirTrav currently has one plane, a Cessna Grand Caravan 208, and hopes to end the year with two more aircraft to arrive by either August or September.
“The market is very good now that tourism is very good…Visayas, we’re planning this year, next year, we’re planning to go to Mindanao,” Cusi said.
“With this one plane, hopefully we would cater to 500 passengers in six months,” Cusi added, noting that the eight-seater seaplane only started operations last Friday.
For flights to Clark, the plane will land at the Clark International Airport and for Puerto Galera, the plane will land at Fridays Puerto Galera resort, Cusi said, adding that the company’s target market are tourists and businessmen.
A flight to Clark costs P4,500 while a flight to Puerto Galera costs P6,000.
