‘Boxing vs drugs’ today at Elorde
The regular boxing promotion dubbed ‘BOXING KONTRA DROGA’ of sportsman/businessman Johnny Elorde in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Manila Premier – now headed by incoming president Yolly de Castro – returns tonight at the Flash Grandballroom of the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque City.
The event, which starts at 6 p.m., features PH bantamweight champion Glenn Suminguit of the Elorde Stable in a tune up fight against Llyod Jardelisa of Tiger Boxing Gym.
The supporting mainers will pit Diomel Diocos of Negros Occidental against JC Francisco of Valenzuela City while Arvin Yurong of Jaro Leyte will face Robin Dingcong of Quezon City, both for 10 rounds.
In the preliminaries, Marlon Paniamogan takes on Daffy Dempo while Del Pellio is pitted against Lowell Saguisa in 6 rds at 123 lbs.
The rest of the four round encounters will have Bernie Parrenas vs Joshua Padua, Christian Tulayao vs Michael Sarili and Jay Lloyd Pacquiao Kidlat against Kresler Tenorio. An exhibition encounter between Charly “Datu Amet” Tolosa and Mark Justin Medes will also be featured.
