Drug suspect nabbed in Manila buy-bust operation
A KNOWN drug peddler was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Manila on Thursday night, police said on Friday.
Elements of the Sta. Ana Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (PS-6 SDEU), led by Senior Inspector Rommel Purisima, arrested Alfred Jay Eloriaga, 24, along San Andres Extension in Sta. Ana.
Seized from the suspect were 10 small heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu and P3,000 in buy-bust money. The pieces of evidence were forwarded to the Manila Police District Crime Laboratory Office (MPD-CLO) for forensic, qualitative and quantitative examinations.
The suspect is temporarily detained at the PS-6 Custodial Facility.
Charges of violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are expected to be filed against Eloriaga before the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office. KIM MALAIT
