PCSO employees join GCAA mini Olympics
PCSO employees temporarily left their pens and computers for a day on May 11 to compete with other workers of government agencies in playing Filipino sports at the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) gymnasium in Pasay City.
The leadership of the Government Corporations Athletic Association (GCAA) organized for the second consecutive year “Larong Pinoy Mini Olympics” where government workers had a field day competing and enjoying at the same time in two events – “Karerang Takbo” incorporating piko, step no, limbo rock and sack race, and “Karerang Talon” which included luksong tinik, Chinese garter and luksong baka among others. The first was held in April last year.
“It was the happiness of playing Pinoy games na napaglipasan na ng panahon, more than winning the top spot. Masarap balikan ang nakaraan,” participants said after.
Other agencies who joined the sportsfest were National Power Corporation (NPC), Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost), Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), National Food Authority (NFA), Philippine Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) and GSIS.
