Suspect in killing of Ombudsman prosecutor arrested — report
A SUSPECT behind the killing of an assistant special prosecutor from the Office of the Ombudsman was arrested on Monday in Quezon City, according to a radio report on Tuesday.
Members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested Angelo Galvez Avenido alias Moymoy at about 6 p.m. in Culilat.
He was tagged in the the stabbing of lawyer Madonna Joy Ednaco-Tanyag who was fuve months pregnant.
Authorities believe that robbery is the motive behind Monday’s killing after they retrieved Ednaco-Tanyag’s pouch containing her IDs, police clearance, and cellular phones with the SIM cards removed.
