Are you interested in learning about starting a small business? Have a business idea you’d like to turn into some self-employment income? You’re invited to the FREE DIVERSEcity Entrepreneur & Small Business Fair, supported by TD, a dynamic event that brings together entrepreneurs, service providers and community leaders in one space to talk about starting a small business and succeeding as an entrepreneur in BC.

The tradeshow, marketplace and expert panel event offers up tools, resources and inspiration to help you plan, launch and grow your business on Thursday, October 17, at Surrey City Hall.

From 3–5 pm, don’t miss these highlights:

• Attend the tradeshow to explore tools and resources from exhibitors like TD, SDEBC, Surrey Board of Trade, Vancouver Community College, Futurpreneur and more!
• Get a head start on holiday gift shopping at our marketplace of local, immigrant and BIPOC‐owned businesses and products — buy local!
• Enjoy hosted refreshments by Bon Moment Catering
• Have fun at our photo booth and be eligible to win prizes

Then at 5 pm, join us in the theatre to:

• Listen to welcome speakers including Neelam Sahota, CEO, DIVERSEcity
• Watch the DIVERSEcity Business Pitch Competition — Dragons’ Den style, live onstage!
• Catch the DIVERSEtalks panel discussion, “Turn your ideas into entrepreneurial income” with moderator Tom Conway, CEO, Small Business BC and panellists:
  • Jujhar Singh Mann, founder of Mann and Co Bakeshop
  • Asha Wheeldon, Founder and CEO, KULA Foods
  • Sifu Matthias Klenk, Owner, Immortal Dragon
  • Rony Thaler, Board Member, La Société de développement économique de la Colombie-Britannique (SDEBC)
