Pagasa: Rain possible in western parts of PH due to southwesterly wind flow
MANILA, Philippines — The western section of the country may expect to experience rain on Monday due to the southwesterly wind flow, the state weather bureau said.
Obet Badrina, weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said the southwesterly wind flow could bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and Antique.
“’Yung southwesterly wind flow, o ‘yung hangin na nagmumula sa may timog-kanluran, ang nakakaapekto partikular na nga sa kanlurang bahagi ng Timog Luzon gayundin sa may kanlurang bahagi ng Visayas at Mindanao,” Badrina said in a public weather forecast.

Badrina said warm weather is expected for the rest of the country despite the likelihood of rain due to thunderstorms.

“Sa iba pang bahagi ng ating bansa, posible na mainit pa din ang panahon na mararanasan sa araw na ito pero tumataas na po ang posibilidad ng pagkidlat, pagkulog,” he pointed out.

In its early Monday morning advisory, Pagasa did not raise a gale warning over any seaboards nationwide.
