P350,000 ‘shabu’ seized at Albay port from four men en route to Catanduanes

VIRAC, Catanduanes — Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) recovered an estimated P350,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) from four Catanduanes-bound suspects at the port of Tabaco City in Albay province on Tuesday.

In a report, Investigation Agent Arlene Galiza, provincial officer of PDEA Catanduanes, said suspects Michael Angelo Capistrano, 30, and Domingo Casaul Capistrano Jr., 50, who were both from Metro Manila; Dante Subion, 35, and John Spencer Avila, 26, both residents of Bislig village in San Andres town, Catanduanes were arrested at the port.

The suspects were caught during a seaport interdiction operation conducted by PDEA and PCG at the Tabaco port at around 1 p.m.

Seized from the suspects were 52 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 50 grams.
