On June 10, immigrant professionals are invited to attend the 17th annual Conference for Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs). Presented by Progress Career Planning Institute, (PCPI), the conference provides networking opportunities, resources, employment tips and industry insights for immigrant professional in Healthcare, Finance and Accounting, Digital Technology and Engineering, looking to succeed in the Canadian job market.

Keynote speaker Mohamad Fakih, Founder & CEO founder and CEO of Paramount Fine Foods will bring opening remarks on hope and how tapping into the resilience that immigrants develop in their journey toward a new life in Canada is an asset not to be ignored.

This year’s virtual conference examines how the traditional pathways to securing great jobs in Ontario and other Canadian regions have been impacted by COVID, climate change, sustainability, and inflation.

Topics of discussion will include:

  • Local labour trends and job vacancies
  • Communities experienced in welcoming and integrating newcomers into well-paying jobs and affordable housing
  • Navigating Canada’s culture – especially post-COVID and managing employer expectations of returning to the ‘new’ workplace

IEPs who are flexible and ready are encouraged to discover career opportunities and to apply their skills and experience in Canada’s rapidly evolving job market.  They are to use their resilience, persistence, and global skills to achieve their employment goals in Canada. Leveraging IEPs’ skills – like multiple languages and unique international/cultural perspectives – is a great way to position Canada as an innovative leader on the global economic map.

Opportunities include:

  • Networking with other professionals and employers to forge lasting links
  • Inspiring stories and access to practical information from panel experts and successful professional immigrants
  • Skills building sessions hosted Community Service Providers
