MANILA, Philippines — On the unofficial vote tally of electronically submitted results of poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio was still in first place in the vice presidential polls.

As of 3:47 p.m, electronically transmitted results posted on PPCRV’s website showed Duterte-Carpio as the frontrunner with 31,540,628 votes.

The votes were tabulated from 105,753 of 107,785 clustered precincts nationwide.

At second is Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan trailing behind the presidential daughter with 9,226,368 votes and at third is Senate President Vicente Sotto III with 8,181,521 votes.

FEATURED STORIES

Apart from the top three places, listed below are the vote counts of the other vice president hopefuls:

  • Dr. Willie Ong – 1,849,445
  • Rep. Lito Atienza – 267,415
  • Economist Manny Lopez – 157,827
  • Professor Walden Bello – 99,687
  • Lawyer Carlos Serapio – 89,899
  • Pro-life advocate Rizalito David – 55,470

The PPRCV, however, had yet to finish the manual counting as only a small number of printed election returns had been received by the PPCRV, only 10,000 as of Tuesday night.

This means the PPCRV — with the help of hundreds of volunteers — is still in the middle of manually encoding the printed election returns from VCMs, verifying if they match with the electronic results from the transparency server.
