MANILA, Philippines — Easterlies (winds that blow from the east) will bring rain across the country on Monday, while the trough of a low pressure area (LPA) will bring overcast skies and rain in the Caraga and Davao regions, the state weather bureau said.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and localized thunderstorms should be expected throughout the country due to the easterlies.

Meanwhile, as of 3 p.m, an LPA was spotted  625 kilometers (km) east-southeast of Mindanao.
