The product: The Philanthropic Stay at Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver

Why we love it: If you’re searching for a staycation this spring break that gives back, Shangri-La Hotel in Vancouver has a new package for you.

Called The Philanthropic Stay, the special add-on sees the property partner with the local charitable organization One Girl Can.

“We are so thrilled Shangri-La is supporting our cause to end gender inequality and raise funds to educate bright girls living in extreme poverty,” Lotte Davis, CEO and founder of One Girl Can, said in a news release. “If we are ever going to truly move the needle on gender imbalance, we will need to help lift up women in underdeveloped countries, as well as in our own.”

The package sees $50 from each nightly rate donated to One Girl Can, as well as guest extras such as valet parking, daily buffet breakfast for two (or a $50 in-room dining credit), essential oil amenities from the Vancouver-based company Vitruvi, an AG Hair gift bag and a 20-per-cent discount at the hotel’s Chi, The Spa.

Those who are looking to elevate their luxury stay can also add on a set of cotton pajamas featuring gold piping and mother-of-pearl buttons and a silk sleep mask from the Canadian brand KIP. The chic sleepwear pieces are part of an exclusive partnership with the Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver.
