Duterte turns over new firetrucks to BFP

President Duterte on Tuesday turned 74 new fire trucks to the Bureau of Fire Protection and said he hopes that these will enable them to do their duty of protecting lives and communities more effectively.

Duterte said their handover shows the government’s full support to the BFP to ensure public safety by saving lives and protecting properties.

“I hope that with these fire trucks, the BFP will become more capable and effective in ensuring the safety of our communities and industries,” he said.

“I am confident that with your help, we can further boost our people’s confidence in their government and create an environment where our people can live and work in peace,” he added.

With the additional fire trucks and the recent increase in the salaries of uniformed personnel, Duterte said members of the BFP are expected to become more dedicated, efficient, and reliable in the performance of their duties.
