It’s lights, camera, action for a Vancouver entrepreneur whose CBD drink is headed to this year’s Academy Awards.
Jigme Love, a Vancouver entrepreneur, is the founder of Infuzed Thirst, a CBD-infused canned sparkling water drink that promises zero calories, zero sugar and natural flavours.
Cans of Infuzed Thirst will be included in duffle swag bags being gifted to stars in attendance, such as Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Scarlett Johannson, Tom Hanks and others.
“I am so inspired by the profound healing effects of broad spectrum hemp extract I’ve seen in myself, my family members, my friends, and friends of friends – everything from restoring balance after a long day at work to the general sense of well-being one has after a good night’s sleep,” said Love of her product.
“It is an honour and a privilege to share the power of hemp extract with the world by infusing it into everyday wellness beverages you can enjoy throughout your day.”
Infuzed Thirst uses CBD, the non-psychoactive ingredient found in the hemp plant, to offer energy, relief, restoration and balance.
Last year’s edition of the award show was the first year cannabis-related products were included in the Oscars gift bags, with CBD beauty products being introduced. This year’s gift bag is the first to include CBD-infused food and drinks.
In past years, the Oscars gift bag has also featured Vancouver-based beauty brand Inception of Beauty and a Fort Langley entrepreneur’s Cranberries Naturally condiments.
