A Filipino-Chinese organization has called for unity amid some racist remarks, particularly on Chinese nationals, over the threat of the 2019 novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019 nCoV ARD).

“At this time of crisis – a viral epidemic that threatens the health of people around the world – we should act as one,” said Teresita Ang-See of Kaisa Para sa Kaunlaran Inc. in a statement posted on the organization’s Facebook page.
