P8M in shabu seized in Caloocan, Navotas

AT least P8 million pesos worth of crystal meth or shabu were seized in Caloocan and Navotas in separate police operations on Wednesday night.
The National Police District announced on Thursday the arrest of Omar Sultan, 23, during a buy bust operation in Barangay Tala in Caloocan City.
Authorities confiscated two plastic sachets of shabu weighing 680 grams, with a street value of P4,624,000, along with marked money and drug paraphernalia.
Police Lt. Col. Giovanni Hycenth Caliao also announced the arrests of Oliver Molave, 37; and Merwin Jr. Argote, 31 after a buy bust operation in Barangay Maligaya on Thursday morning.
Argote, who was released after a plea bargain for violating the same crime, together with a cohort, was found to be in possession of 100 grams of shabu with an estimated worth of P680,000, along with marked money and other drug paraphernalia.
In Navotas, two drug personalities under surveillance were arrested by police in Barangay Tangos North on Thursday morning.
The drug offenders, two minors aged 16 and 14, were caught by police monitoring the activities of the suspects.
Confiscated were 404 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P2,747,200, along with other drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, five more suspects were also arrested in Navotas in separate police operations.
In Barangay San Jose, P12,240 worth of shabu were recovered from Rudy Abejay, 26; Jose Arisgado, 35; and Marcelino Morillo, 46 after police conducted an anti-illegal drug monitoring and validation at about 1:30 a.m.
Furthermore, another drug-related monitoring in Barangay Tangos South resulted in the arrests of Lallie Banayad, 46; and Kevin Daryl Roque, 29, at about 3 a.m. Shabu, with a street value of 10,200, were confiscated from the suspects, who faced charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
