A total of 2,188 vape stores in Metro Manila have been closed since the implementation of the vape ban, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said on Friday.
“Tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang operations nito [The operations still continue],” Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas told the reporters in a press in Quezon City.
From November 2019 to January this year, 168 offenders from 11, 014 operations, were arrested.
Sinas said police would continue monitoring the vape stores.
President Rodrigo Duterte ordered a vape ban in 2019 amid health issues raised against the alternative to cigarettes.
