The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called to a fatal shooting in Burnaby Sunday evening.

Burnaby RCMP was called about 6:30 p.m. to a Chevron gas station at Willingdon Avenue and Canada Way after a man in his 20s had been shot.

The man was rushed to hospital in serious condition but later succumbed to his injuries.

No name has been released. And no one has been arrested.

It was a violent weekend on the Lower Mainland.

Vancouver Police are investigating two murders – a fatal shooting of a man discovered in an underground parking lot Saturday night about 8:30 and the slaying of a woman in her suite in Gastown.

So far in 2020, there have been three murders in Vancouver and another three in IHIT’s jurisdiction.
