PDEA seizes P120, 000 of ‘deadly’ party drugs in Parañaque

A total of P120, 000 worth of liquid ecstasy, a party drug, and other drugs were confiscated in Parañaque City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Friday.
Dir. Levi Ortiz of the PDEA Special Enforcement Service, identified the suspects as Vincent Michael Arive Go Bon, 35; Ma. Karina Esperanza 22; and Marc Giancarlo Evora Reyes, 24.
Ortiz said that liquid ecstasy can be deadly even with just two to three drops into the drink.
“Pag hindi kaya ng katawan mo, that’s fatal pwede ikamatay mo [If your body could not take it, that’s fatal, you could die],” Ortiz told the reporters in a press briefing in Quezon City.
Users, mostly millennials who go to parties, could feel heightened tactile sensation by taking the drugs.
In the first operation, PDEA caught Reyes at Rafael Palma Street in BF Homes at 8:20 p.m. on Thursday.
Confiscated from Reyes were seven bottles of liquid ecstasy worth P35, 000, two heat sealed and one self-sealing plastic sachets containing shabu worth P60,000 and 100 tablets of Valium worth P 5,000 and other drugs.
While in a follow-up operation, Esperanza and Bon were arrested at 11:15 p.m .on the same day in Barangay San Isidro.
Seized were two bottles of liquid ecstasy.
Cases for violation of Section 5, 11, 12, and 26 of Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
