4.7 quake jolts Davao del Sur — Phivolcs

A magnitude 4.7 tremor struck Davao del Sur anew on Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Phivolcs spotted the epicenter of the quake at 9 kilometers southwest of Magsaysay, Davao Oriental at 12:55 a.m.

It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 9 kms from the surface.

Intensity 4 was recorded in Bansalan, Davao del Sur.

Instrumental intensities were also felt in the following areas:

Intensity 3 – Kidapawan City
Intensity 2 – Tupi, South Cotabato, Malungon, Sarangani
Intensity 1 – Alabel, Sarangani

Phivolcs said it was not expecting any damage and aftershocks.
