PACC to summon Robredo over questionable fishport project in Camarines Sur

VICE President Leonor “Leni” Robredo will be summoned by the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) to shed light on allegedly anomalous projects involving a multimillion fishport and ice plant and storage in Camarines Sur which she funded when she was still congresswoman.

“PACC Chairman Dante Jimenez has already given the green light to summon VP Robredo in January next year,” PACC Commissioner Manuelito Luna told The Manila Times on Tuesday.

Subject of the investigation, according to Luna, is the Calabanga Fish Port and Terminal Shed, and the Ice Plant and Storage projects in Camarines Sur, which was funded by the Development Assistance Program (DAP) duringthe Aquino admintration.

Luna said that Robredo, who was then the representative of the first district of Camarines Sur, was the project’s proponent. WILLIAM B. DEPASUPIL
