Over 10 tons of hot meat amounting to P10 million were confiscated by the Manila Veterinary Inspection Board in a warehouse in Tondo, Manila last Friday.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said the illegally imported meat products from China were composed of meat products such as sausage, Peking duck, and other items placed inside sealed boxes.
Authorities identified the warehouse owner as Daniel Yulo.
The seized products were brought to the Department of Agriculture for disposal.
Moreno said those behind the smuggling will face criminal charges.
