College graduate Pacquiao eyes masteral degree at Harvard

INTERNATIONAL boxing icon, Sen. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao, finally received his college degree on Wednesday from the University of Makati (UMak) and planned to enroll at Harvard University in the US for his masters in public administration.
Pacquiao graduated Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Major in Local Government Administration.
The senator enrolled at UMak in 2008 but did not complete his college degree until this year.
“Nag aaral talaga ako, pagtapos nito plano ko mag masteral ako sa Harvard University (I really studied. I plan to get my master’s degree at Harvard University),” he said.
Before his studies at UMak, Pacquiao enrolled at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University in General Santos City under its business management program in 2008.
He completed his primary education at Saavedra Saway Elementary School in General Santos City but dropped out of high school because of poverty.
The senator earned his high school diploma in 2007 after passing the accreditation and equivalency test under the Department of Education’s Alternative Learning System. JAVIER JOE ISMAEL
