THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) is deporting three Chinese fugitives wanted by authorities in their country for economic crimes and large-scale fraud.
Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente disclosed on Friday that the aliens were arrested recently in the cities of Parañaque and Pasay by operatives from the bureau’s fugitive search unit (FSU).
The arrest was made on the request of the Chinese government which sought their deportation to China so they could be prosecuted and tried for their crimes.
They were identified as Xu Xiaojun,34, Chen Yao Lin, 26, and Lv Mingwei, 33.
Information from Chinese authorities said Xu was wanted for involvement in bank credit card fraud, which defrauded many of his compatriots of millions of yuan.
