Torres rules women’s duathlon, bags gold

ASIAN elite champion Monica Torres bagged her first SEA Games gold as she ruled the women’s duathlon on Monday at the Subic Bay Boardwalk.

Despite an upset stomach, the 3-time Powerman Asia Duathlon Champion finished the 10km run- 40m bike- 5km in fashion.

She was followed by Thailand’s Pareeya Sonsem and Nguyen Thi Phuong Trinh of Vietnam. Jean Russel David
