3rd gold: Kim Mangrobang rules women’s triathlon

SUBIC: The Philippines’ Kim Mangrobang retained her crown after ruling the women’s triathlon event in the 30th Southeast Asian Games held on Sunday at the Subic Bay Boardwalk.

Mangrobang bagged the country’s third gold medal after John Leerams Chicano (triathlon) and Agatha Wong (wushu) ruled their events earlier.

It was another 1-2 finish for the women’s team as Kim Kilgroe finished second for the silver medal.

The country’s triathlon team swept all its events, finishing with two gold and two silver medals on the first day of hostilities. Jean Russel David
