Vancouver Weather: Cold and blustery

VANCOUVER, B.C.: Wednesday, Nov. 28. It’s going to be a windy Wednesday in Metro Vancouver. A wind warning from Environment and Climate Change Canada remains in effect, with gusts up to 90 km/h expected in the morning for parts of the Fraser Valley, Surrey and Langley.  Wednesday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud, wind, and a high of 6 C. Overnight it looks clear and windy with a low of zero.

A special weather statement for colder conditions this week also remains in effect Wednesday. Arctic air will reach the coast by this evening, and temperatures will likely dip below the freezing mark for most coastal communities, according to the agency. The wind chill values could take those temperatures down to the -5 C to -10 C range.

On Thursday, it looks sunny and windy, with a high of 6 C and an overnight low of – 3 C. Then later in the week the mercury will take a dip, with a high of just 3 on Friday, with clear skies, and an overnight low of – 4 C. On Saturday it looks sunny again with a high of 3 C and an overnight low of – 5 C. Then it should be another sunny day on Sunday and 5 C, but overnight there could be some snow flurries as the temperature goes down to – 2 C with precipitation. However, any overnight snow will likely turn to rain on Monday.

Tonight: Clear. Windy. Low zero.
