BuCor officer shot dead in Muntinlupa

A Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) officer was shot dead in Muntinlupa City on Wednesday morning.
Maj. Alberto Tapiru, BuCor spokesman, identified the victim as Corrections Officer I (CO1) Porferio Bergula who was assigned at the medium security compound of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
Initial investigation disclosed that Begula was shot dead at about 10 a.m. after he transfered money to the Palawan Pawnshop near the NBP.
Tapiru also said that they have not yet identified the motive as their investigation was ongoing.
In August 27, Ruperto Traya Jr., an admin offier of BuCor, was also shot dead while parking his motorcycle in Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.
