Magnitude 4.3 quake hits Occidental Mindoro

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro on Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Phivolcs located the epicenter of the quake at 82 kilometers southwest of Looc, Occidental Mindoro at 9:57 a.m.

It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 29 kms from the surface.

No intensity was reported.

The state-run seismology bureau said it was not expecting any damage or aftershocks.
