Transit workers are staging a multi-part strike, including an overtime ban by skilled trades and maintenance workers and a uniform ban. The union is also planning an overtime ban by bus drivers later this week if a settlement is not reached with a TransLink subsidiary.
If that happens, it’s expected the number of bus cancellations to rise to 10 to 15 per cent of all buses, the union says. You can search the window below to see if your route is affected.

Unifor was seeking a 15.2 per cent increase compounded over four years for bus drivers and 16.7 per cent compounded over four years for maintenance workers. The employer, Coast Mountain Bus Company, was offering 9.6 per cent for drivers and 12.2 per cent for maintenance workers.
