As the number of cases of vaping-related lung illness grow, the B.C. government has plans to enact tougher measures to protect young people.
The government will announce today that it will be taking strong action that involves education, tightening access, working with partners and pressuring the federal government to act, according to a Canadian Press story.
Health Canada says B.C. may now have three possible vaping-related illnesses and the provincial health officer said the number was likely to rise as more were reported. The agency has issued a warning to people who vape to monitor themselves for symptoms of vaping-related pulmonary illness.
What do you think? Do you support B.C.’s plan to take more action to encourage young people not to vape or do you think e-cigarettes should be banned temporarily while the health authorities investigate the safety of the product. Or do you think the B.C. government should leave it to the federal government? Take our poll ad let us know what you think in the comments.
