Luxury car brand Audi Philippines is eyeing to sell around 300 units of the 2020 Audi Q3 model until next year on upbeat outlook for its demand.
Audi PH General Sales Manager Gian Paolo Brambilla, at the sidelines of the Audi Q3 launch in Makati Friday, told The Manila Times they are banking on the customer-focused features of the latest model to drive sales.
“The market share for this segment is quite high so we decided to pump up the Audi Q3, filled with all the features demanded in the market today,” he said.
Brambilla acknowledged that the newly-introduced sport utility vehicle (SUV) “faces a lot of competition,” including from BMW X1, Lexus MX and Mercedes Benz GLA.
With this in mind, Audi PH is continuing its efforts to beef up its line-up to remain competitive, the general sales manager said.
“We expect to expand the line-up for the Audi Q3, bringing the S line models and RS variants as well,” he added.
Audi Q3 — which is built with high-gloss styling package, electric tailgate and aluminum roof rails — is equipped with 1.4-liter, inline-four, turbocharged gasoline engine, which delivers 150 horsepower and 250 Newton-meters of torque.
The car body also features modern technology, including smartphone interface, Audi sound system, Bluetooth Interface and rear-view camera, among others.
Its safety features include electronic stability control, electromechanical power steering, park assist, hill descent control, child safety lock and airbag system.
“The all-new Q3’s introduction definitely strengthens our position in the country’s luxury SUV segment. We are quite excited to have this model in our lineup,” Audi Philippines head Benedicto Coyiuto said in a statement.
