The product: New Balance x Reformation sneakers

Why we love it: Sustainable fashion brand Reformation has teamed up with athletic offering New Balance on a stylish (and green!) shoe collaboration.

The sustainable sneakers, which represent a first for both companies (it’s New Balance’s first sustainably led collab and Reformation’s first sneaker release), are crafted using a variety of different eco-minded practices and materials.

The leather is tanned using a chrome-free method to eliminate the potentially harmful substance from the production process, as well as EVA foam and BLOOM algae were used for the shoe inserts. The text on the shoe is also printed using soy-based inks while the linings, laces and labels all contain post-consumer recycled polyester, according to a news release.

Comprised of five sneaker silhouettes in five colour-ways, the New Balance x Reformation sneakers include new takes on the athletic-wear brand’s iconic 574, X90 and 997W silhouettes. We’re partial to this white-blue combination, which practically begs to be worn with your go-to blue jeans (made with recycled cotton, of course) on repeat.

The price: From $125 to $170
